After a fire destroyed the Hibernian Irish Pub & Restaurant in Raleigh over six months ago, we’re proud to announce reconstruction will begin today.
“We’re going to break ground on Monday,” said owner Niall Hanley with a broad smile. “It feels incredible to start making this kind of progress.”
Hours after the December 26th fire, Hanley vowed to rebuild the Hibernian to be “bigger and better than ever” and the new pub will be just that. The new neighborhood pub will feature the same Irish charm as the original but with a unique two-story layout and rooftop bar. The project is expected to be completed by Christmas 2013.
“Once again, I want to take this opportunity to thank each and every neighbor, friend and patron who has rallied around us in the past year,” said Hanley. “You’re the reason I love to call this city home. We can’t wait to be back and throw the biggest party Glenwood South has ever seen.”
